Qualifications for ALCA Lay Chaplains
(1). Be a member of the Seventh-day Adventist Church in good and regular standing. (2). Be at least 18 years old. (3). Be able to clearly express why you want to become a lay chaplain. (4). Be willing to adhere to the code of conduct. (5). Be able to pass a background check. (6). Be able to complete the basic chaplaincy training. (7). Be able to submit a letter of recommendation from your local church Pastor, Elder or Church Clerk attesting to emotional and spiritual stability. (8). Be able to purchase the Chaplaincy credentials such as badge, ID, etc. (9). Be able to pay dues.
